Summit School of Building and Repair
2003-2004
At Summit, I learned to build and repair guitars under the expert instruction of Sigmund Johannessen and Mike Jarvis.
Sweden Guitarworks
2004
In 2004, I interned at Sweden Guitarworks under Leif Jakobsson in Umeå, Sweden. This was my graduate-school in guitar repair. While in Sweden, I learned to run a repair shop with a focus on catering to players’ individual needs.
Gibson Custom
2004-2008
I joined the Gibson Custom Shop in 2004. Initially, I handled Warranty and Artist Repair before transitioning to the Finish Department, where I worked under Mickey McGuire, one of the best finishers in the industry.
Benedetto Guitars
2008-2011
I joined Benedetto Guitars in 2008 as the Head Finisher. At Benedetto, I learned to take Bob’s high standards into the finish-room and produce world-class finishes.
